Alif — The CaptainThe name Layerice is a playful fusion of two familiar words: “layer” — evoking structure, depth, and visual design — and “rice”, a staple food that symbolizes simplicity and Asian identity. It captures our philosophy: that great design, like great food, is made from humble layers of intention and culture.
But at the end of the day, this name also came from something very real — it was one of the few .com domains that was still available. A simple name, rooted in meaning, chosen with both creativity and practicality.
