Memverr is a membership management platform for any business that runs on members. Its look and its examples lean toward gyms and other sports businesses, where it fits most naturally. Owners run members, plans, payments, check-ins and WhatsApp reminders from one dashboard. Alif Naufal, the founder of Layerice, designed and built the product, its marketing site, an internal admin panel, and the hardware that lets members check in at the door.
The product is in Indonesian, built for Indonesian membership businesses.
By the numbers
Memverr did not start with a gym owner asking for software. It started as an observation: membership management for small Indonesian businesses had real demand and almost no one building for it well. Gyms and studios were still running on Excel, paper logs, or software that never fit how they actually worked. No clear market leader, in a niche real enough that a similar platform elsewhere in Indonesia was already growing steadily. So Alif built one.
Every gym told the same story: Excel, paper, or an app members had to install before they could even sign up. In Indonesia almost everything already demands its own app, from groceries to taxes to the motorbike installment. Adding one more at the door of a gym membership, something people join by choice, felt like the wrong kind of friction. So Memverr runs entirely in the browser, no install required. It is a deliberate trade-off, made by reading how a gym membership actually gets bought: as a lifestyle choice, not an obligation, so the product should not treat it like one.
Memverr connects to four Indonesian payment gateways for automatic billing, but every gym keeps its own merchant account. The money lands directly in their bank, never in Memverr’s. Simpler trust, and one less thing for an owner to worry about.
Fingerprint and face-based check-in were both requested. Both were turned down: the risk of misuse outweighed the convenience. Members check in by QR code, or by RFID for gyms whose members already carry a card.
For gyms with an automatic gate, Memverr does not ship a whole new lock. It builds the controller that becomes the gate’s brain, wired into the access hardware already there.
QR check-in first worked only through a phone camera, until a gym that already owned physical scanners asked for support, so it shipped. RFID and gate integrations happened the same way. Every recent feature started as a real request, not a guess.
